Nominated MCA rewards Jericho All Stars

Nominated Member of County Assembly (MCA), Leah Mumo, has praised Extreme Sports Champions Jericho All Stars for their great achievement in the 2018 season.
Mumo was delighted when the team registered a double win within a space of a month. The MCA awarded the team with a set of training jerseys and cash token of Sh10, 000.
The MCA presented an early Christmas gift to the entire team after the team clinched the 2018 Nairobi Champions League trophy sponsored by betting firm Betika in partnership with Extreme Sports. Mumo lauded the team’s achievement promising to organize a luncheon with Nairobi City Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko in his Mua residence.
Few weeks ago, Jericho All Stars coached by James Nandwa, won the annual Extreme Sports Super 8 tournament when they trounced Hakati FC at the same venue. Mumo was impressed by the team’s success and thanked Jericho residents for nominating her to Nairobi City County Assembly where she was appointment a member of the National Sports Board. “I am proud of your great achievement. You have made me proud and that is why I have called you here to express my gratitude,” Mumo said.
“Owing to your great achievement, I am going to organize a sumptuous luncheon with our Governor Hon. Mike Sonko in his Mua Hills residence,” she added. “I am presenting to you a small token of Sh10, 000 and a set of training jerseys that you will use during your training workouts,” Mumo said amid cheers from the players.
Technical bench head Nick Aballa, Chairman Edward Njonjo, Technical Director Kevin Wandera, Treasurer Eric Agwanda, Communication Director Anthony Ndungu and Secretary George Gitonga received the gifts from the MCA. The club has no sponsors but only thrives through well-wishers. It has produced prominent players who have inspired many fans who feel that the team is ripe to feature in the Kenya Premier League (KPL).
